Released in the fall of 1993 , the Atari Jaguar was Atari's last stand in the home console market . Supported to be the home consoles first 64-bit system . Selling for $250 (In the USA) at the its release with other system of 32 bit selling for $300 to $600 the system should have sold but it didn't.

The Jag had an optional CD-ROM drive you could get and other accessories like Composite Video Cable , Jag Link for networking 2 Jags up to 100 feet apart , Memory Track for storing and saving games (up to 128K full of them) , Pro Controller , S-Video Cable & the Team Tap were for Jaguar controllers can be hook up to it. 2 can hooked up to the console for up to 8 player hookup for games like "White Men Can't Jump"

Poor marketing and quality of later games spelt doom once again for the Jag and Atari. and the system floundered by 1995. It is a shame to because it really was a good system and the controllers were one of he most comfortable ones for game play too.

Hasbro released the rights to the Jaguar in 1999 and since a lot of great "Homebrewed" games have came out since !
